Hi, Hope you can help me

Hi all.
I have just registered with FHUK and hope that someone may be able to help me.

I got interested in Genealogy when a family member was contacted in the 1980's by someone who had traced my maternal family way back to 1580.

I have been a member of Ancestry.co.uk for nearly a year and in that time I have been able to trace some members of my father's family back to about 1750 through the census and the births, marriages and deaths index as well as through finding existing family trees.

I have now hit a wall with my father's side as I seem to have got as far as I can go with the Ancestry site.

Can anyone please tell me if there is a way of getting Parish information such as baptisms, marriages and burials without having to visit the records offices in that particular area, or having to pay someone to do the research for me (which would take the fun out of it anyway)

My family originate in West Yorkshire and Lancashire. and I live in North Wales so it would be quite dificult for me to visit that area to do some research.

I do hope that someone can suggest how I can take my quest further

Many Thanks
