Hi I am Carole from Boroughbridge North Yorkshire and as you have guessed very new to this site. At the moment I am interested in The Wards originating from Cheshire but have hit a brick wall. I have John Ward born about 1811 married to Sarah possibly Smith but cannot find John Wards parents. Any ideas where I should look? They lived at Coppice Side Poynton in the 1841 census i believe. The Ward family eventually ended up in South Yorkshire. Anyone else researching similar I am happy to share what info I have.
