I am looking for living and descendants of James William Dawes born Bishop Wilton Yorkshire(1875)and Sarah Ann Nellis born Guisborough Yorkshire (1877) They Married Sep Q 1900 in Knaresborough Yorkshire.
They had five Children Eva born Bilton Yorks 1901,Annie born 1909 Knaresborough Yorks,Albert born 1913 and died 1918 Knaresborough,Yorks,there was also another Child born 1917 Knaresborough Yorks (unable to read record properly)
and lastly my Husbands Mother Edith born 1920 Knaresborough Yorks.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Naomi,

I am replying on behalf of my Grandad, Alan Dawes, his grandad was born in Yorkshire, Bishop Wilton as James William Dawes in 1875 and married Sarah Ann Nellis. The children as he knows it was
Eddie (your mother),
Annie, (She was married to a man called Ted Watson, who moved to East Leigh in Havant Hampshie after the war),
George, (who was last known in dwelling in Middleborough)
Herbert (he worked in Conservative club in Starbeck and was married to a lady called Betty who was a nurse),
James (which is my grandad's father - born 1914),
wilfred (who was born in 1922, killed in Burma in 1945).

He is not sure about the others.

My grandad is also trying to find out about his family tree so any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Email deleted for security. Julie moderator
