I am seeking information regarding William Hopkins, and his wife, name unknown. William was the Father of Hannah, who was born in Wooton (?) Gloucester in 1827 , was Christened in Deerhurst in 1827 and married Thomas Ballinger in Tewksebury in 1848 before immigrating to Australia in 1857.

Any information will be extremely helpful, especially if it relates to generations prior to Wiiliam.

Also any information on any of William's siblings would be helpfull.

Thanks

I don't know if this will help but here is the info i have on a William Hoplins who is my gr gr maternal grandfather. William Hopkins married Patcy Faulkner Date unknown (still looking) In Scotland

Please let me know if it helps for i am beginning a search on that side of the family

William Hopkins had at least 2 daughters my gr gr grandmother Ellen Maude and her sister Ada May.
I know that both ellen and her sister were put into the Quarriers Orphan Home in Glasgow Scotland January 9 1890 and were sent to Bridge of Weir Scotland, and later were sent to Canada. Ellen Hopkins was 9 yrs old ( born 1881 and her sister Ada may was 6 yrs old (born 1884).

I have more information if this is a connection, but have very little so far on William and Patcy

Thanks waynemac, but the William Hopkins that I am interested in was born around 1800 which would have put him around 80 years old when Ellen was born. I don't think that they are same person.
