Hi,

My Great Aunt was Frances Sophia Hoy born 1891 in London she emigrated to Australia at the end of the first world war don't know the year. She married an Australian who had been fighting with the Australian army in the first world war.

I think that they married in Australia I don't have his Christian name. They had a daughter Margot James.

Any information would be very helpful.

Thanks

Ed

Hi Ed

Possibly a FHUK member may know of someone who has access to the Victoria BDM cd's, if not try this site for a marriage lookup, there are a few volunteers who have the BDM cd's. They will be able to tell you Mr JAMES christian name, where they married, registration no, etc.

http://www.raogk.org/victoria.htm

If you wanted to buy a uncertified certificate try this link, you can do a free searches which shows when Frances married.

Hi,

Many thanks that at least gets me part way there in that I now know when she was married and when she died.

It all adds to the picture of the family.
