Hello,

Hugh MANWELL b. ? married in 1874 in Paisley, Renfrew

spouse Janet (nee AAROL)

Hugh junior born Paisley 1874.

I'd like a look up for the family in 1881 please.

I'm especially interested in pob and age for Janet.

Janet might have a middle initial B. (Butchart) :)

There is another Hugh MANWELL with spouse Janet (nee THOMSON) in Barony Lanark.

Regards,

Dave

Sorry Dave, I can't find any of them in 1881 or 1891, in either Scotland or England.

Is it possible they emigrated?

Josie

Hello Josie,

Thanks for looking.

I'm fishing for marriages for the 10 siblings. ;)

It's possible considering also I could find no death for Janet on SP.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Josie,

I can find no death for Janet MANWELL but i did find these two:

Death 1868 Janet WILSON (ARROL) Abbey, Renfrew Age 19

Death 1910 Janet HODGART (ARROL) , Ayr Age 59

I doubt the Ayr one is mine but the other one is interesting. I can't find the marriage however.

:2fun: Yes, America it seems. EDIT Looks like a different one did. ???

I am new to the list. I am researching my MANWELL family who originated in
Scotland. Some moved to the States 1888-1920.
My starting point on Sonoma County is HUGH MANWELL born 1896 in Paisley,
Scotland and died in Sonoma Co on 1976. He was married to ELIZABETH CLARK, also Scottish born who died in California in 1980.

Hugh junior born 1874 yet that says 1896, so another generation or a different family?

Also says 1888-1920 so indicating they should be around in 1881. ???

That is yet another Hugh MANWELL - spouse Agnes DOWIE.

Gender Male
Birth? Nov 25 1858 Paisley Renfrewshire Scotland
Death? Jan 10 1929 Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland

So we have three. One married Janet THOMSON.

But is it my Janet in post #1? Is it worth 6 credits? :2fun:
