am guessing the George Dent was brother to Mary Ann nee Dent b 1851 – George Dent (1809-1862) & Anne Nancy Burke (1824-1870) – he married a Eliza Jane Smith 1872 Penrith & he died 24 Dec 1924

Thanks Geoff.

I checked 4 possible remarriages and deaths and then double checked 1898 and nothing found.

Why would mother's date of death be on the marriage cert?

I don't see any fault Geoff or any difference.

Same question. NSW marriage certs usually name the parents but don't have any details re death of parents.

If Mary Ann was incarcerated somewhere and/or there was a coroner's report.. possibly why we are not seeing the death reg in the normal way?
