NSW Marriage 1895/1887 HUGHES ISAAC W - CHAPMAN EMILY A - SYDNEY * 6 Dec 1887

They are both buried CofE Rookwood but the marriage is not on the list of Sydney CofE marriages ?? Not all parishes are included on that set on A... so it could be CofE but so far I can't find a notice in Trove or a tree that helps.

Thanks Ellie.

Thanks emeltee.

I asked about the marriage because if a tree can be found that lists the denomination then I can search for an image on the films of the PR.

Emily Australia Chapman. The Hughes family travelled several times between England and Australia.

Didn't know about NZ being on the list of destinations.

Isaac W arrived 1882, married in NSW in 1887, was in back in England by 1895 and in 1901 census, then back to NSW.

The arrival of Emily A Chapman in Australia or New Zealand is immaterial because the surname is wrong. The entry in Posr #2 is for an Emily A Chaplin.

The 1901 England Census gives Emily's pob as Australia.

Isaac's son Harold was born 9 October 1895 and baptised 26 January 1896 at St. Pauls C of E Church, Princes Park Liverpool. Father Isaac Wolfe Hughes mother Emily Australia Hughes.

Isaac Wolfe Hughes baptised 22 July 1860 St James Toxteth Park. Father Charles Hughes, Sailmaker and Angelina

Isaac Wolfe Hughes married Josephine Aylward 24 July 1881 at St Michael in the Hamlet, Toxteth. His father Charles, a Master Mariner and hers Hoseph Michael Aylward, Gentleman.

I cannot find a death for Josephine in England, nor does she appear in the 1891 Census.
