I would like to introduce myself

Hi all, :)
I am on here to look for any information on my late fathers part in WW2. He was a Pvt in the R.A.O.C. and during the war travelled to the middle east (Egypt and Iraq) and seem to end up in Italy (Forli). Most of this information was garnered from a few photos I have of him in uniform. Could anyone give me any information how I might search for this information? I am new to family history research so would appreciate any help.
