Hi All

I am seeking help in finding details of my mothers husband, Idris Williams, who had divorced my mother, cir. 1940, 9 years before I came on the scene. ... I have been told that he came from the Llanfain or Llaingoch area of Holyhead, Anglesey b. cir. 1913. ... His siblings were Richard, Eunice, Alfred and John. He married my mother at the Valley Registry Office, Valley, Anglesey cir. 1935.
My mum name is Ellen (Nellie) Williams b. 14/1/1915 in Bodorgan, Anglesey. This is my brickwall, any help will be most appreciated.

Kind Regards
Bewilldered

Hi Gwen:biggrin:

I followed the census info that you gave me, then searched for Idris's siblings, and they match up to the mothers maiden name, so I feel I'm on the right track. ... Thanks once again, I can do a bit more on my tree now, Great!! ... Could I ask you, is it necessary to obtain the certificates for the BMD or can you just go off the info from the censuses.

Kind Regards
Brian

Hi Brian

If you feel you are on the right track from the census go with that, that is what I have done as I have to watch the pennies,
If you send for each certificate for everyone in your tree it would cost you hundreds of pounds.

Hi. I saw your post and Eunice Williams was my maternal grandmother. I actually just got her brother's names from my mother today (June 9, 2012) and decided to google them. This is definitely the same family as information in your post verifies details my mother gave me.I have some family information and would love to communicate with you. I am trying to find more information myself and there is a cousin named Betty in Wales who has a lot of information on the family. I am waiting to get her email address from my mother. I was born in Warrington myself. Do you still live there? I was born in 1950 and moved to USA with my mother (Audrey Williams- Eunice's oldest daughter and my father Harry Smith who was from Pennsylvania USA. Please respond if you are able with your email address and I will contact you. I'm not sure how to use this forum yet, but will learn. Many thanks. Liz MacIntyre (in Los Angeles, Ca. )
