Im lost in England again - help please

Can someone please help me, im totally lost. Stupid question time now

If i wanted to contact a archive/local studies library or places like that for information in Ebrington Uxbridge or Edmonton in Middlesex who would i contact? So far everyone i have tried hasnt been able to help and they havent pointed me in the right direction like some kind people do. Could someone please help me out with some links or something please.

Big problem for that area is that as London expanded it swallowed chunks of Middlesex and Surrey, so which records you need to look at depends on the dates involved. I'm having similar problems, and I was born in London and still live in the UK!
