Hi, I've just joined the site and look forward to possibly getting some help. Because I have an unusual surname I had anticipated at least one side of my family would be easy, but it turns out that the family had a tendancy not to complete Census forms. I always knew the other side would be difficult because they are all Jones's. Yes, even Jones's marrying Jones's. Hey Ho. :(

welcome . Look you, there's lovely, Jones's marrying Jones's! Almost as bad as Davies's marrying Davies's and then an Evans! Hope your brick walls are easier to penetrate than mine, there are some wonderful people here that will help, of that you can be assured.

And to compound the problem, my wife is a Thomas 😠. Weddings in South Wales can be confusing, especially when the photographer puts out the call for Mrs Jones or Mrs Thomas & half the guests turn up. :)
