The 'born England' would be wrong if this is the convict. Age is way out too.

Going through all the variations of the name I can't find another death.

I also didn't find him in 1841 census.

That's the connection to my tree.

Just wanted to try and trace the convict and find his death as proof it's a different Robert.

Yes, gibbo, that 1856 birth is the connection to my tree. I think the Irish convict is not the same Robert so in a way the case is closed. I was hoping to find a death for the convict to be really sure there are 2x Robert. The name can be any of about 6 variations. It's not as if we had 2 variations and the two families stuck to one spelling. It's not like that.
