Ironside Family History Help

[Baron Ironside]

Hello all,

I'm looking for some information on my 3rd great grandfather, Thomas Ironside, who was born approximately 1833 and who married Louisa Gaites. I have been told that his father was another Thomas Ironside (born 1807) who married Ann Bellott, however as of yet I have been unable to track down a solid reference or source for this.

Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also trying to track down any details about a John Ironside (1730-1809) who married Mary and had a son Edmund Ironside (b. 1768 ). I am also trying to connect this John Ironside (c. 1730) to his father, who I believe is another John Ironside (b. 1702), who married Adria.

There seems to be quite a few different John Ironsides from around this period so it gets awfully confusing for a rookie genealogist such as myself!

I would really appreciate any help with the above individuals.
