Trying to help someone else on here and found the 1851 census image on FMP and thought the image may be clearer on Ancestry but it doesn't come up on a search sooo I thought I could be the image data in but for the life of me I can find no way of inputting the numbers!!
I've searched their so called help files all to no avail! Anyone have an answer or is it impossible!

which numbers do you have?

Not sure if it works the same on all versions of ancestry but I can walk you through how I search for a census record using film and page numbers

Do a search for the name with all the info you have in the regular search form. Click on Census and voter lists. From the list of years click on 1850's.

Assuming the record you are looking for doesn't come up in that search, click on "Learn more about this database" if it works like mine does, you should have a blank search form that you will need to fill all of the info in again but if you scroll down you will see there is a place to enter film and page numbers!

Hope that helps.

Hi Jullie,
I had those numbers from FMP but found no way to input into Atree.
But found the record with the Surname Mary(how they could misread Mary for Alvey I don't know)
Still made no difference still cannot read the scribble Jeff was looking at!
