I looked up the 1851 census in post #9 today and the transcription did not agree with what was on FS or with the image.

The Piece is 1966 not 1967
The RD is actually Stroud not Tetbury
The Sub-RD is Horsley not Minchinhampton

Yeah, there are differences.

This is from Anc. looks oK apart Isaac's relationship to head = sailor.. the image has it correct = son..

Yeah, just rechecked, Horsley is probably the Sub-RD, Minchinhampton not metioned on page 1 of census, only Stroud & Horsley..
