I'd like a look up for Isabel (unmarried) in 1851 please.

Hi Dave,

Have found this entry on the 1851 census and am pretty sure it must be your girl!!!!

Isabel Whitehead aged 34 born 1817 Born and living Chatham Kent.

Also on the return is her Father -

Thomas Whitehaed aged 67 Born 1784 Born and Living Chatham Kent.

And her Mother -

Katherine Whitehead aged 67 Born 1784 Born and Living Chatham Kent.

Thomas is listed as an Accountant! Unfortunately I can't quite make out Isabel's profession :(. The family are living at number 4 Front Row.

I also had a peek at the 1841 census

found the family living in Gillingham Kent- The next Town over more likely a village in 1841.

Thomas is 57 and a Linen Draper
Catherine also 57
Also with the family is
Barbara Whitehead Born 1815 aged 26
Isabel born 1817 aged 24 and a shop worker
William Rufus Whitehead born 1825 aged 16 and a linen draper
John Wiffen Whitehead Born 1827 aged 14

All family Memebers are listed as being born in Kent and are living at the very imaginatively named High Street.

Hope that helps!!

Happy Hunting

Hello Claire,

Thank you very much.

Lots of High and Main streets. :)

The one I like is Paisley Low, Middle and High. :D

Paisley does have a few hills so some churches are 'higher' than others.
