Hello,

Born Isabella JOHNSON abt 1896 in Scotland but married as:

Marriages Dec 1916
Aitchison Ivy -Perdrian Amesbury 5a 330
Perdrian Raymond S -Aitchison Amesbury 5a 330

Death 16978/1937 PERDRIAU ISOBEL JOHNSTON - GEORGE NELSON - ANNIE - KYOGLE

In April 1918 living at 44 North Bridge St, Bathgate, Linlithgow. I presume she was born before her parents married but I'm still puzzled.

I wonder if we are in luck with this one.

Regards,

Dave

I got something Dave

Australian WW1 Military records for Raymond PERDRIAU Service Number - 22833 online and it has a address for a Ivy Perdriau, wife, as next on kin. The address for her is in Scotland. Maybe thats the area in Scotland she was born in.
46 pages in his record so go for it

Strange one Dave. Am I to take it her father was George Nelson or George Nelson Johnston? I can see the surname changing but the first name too?

Hello Barbara,

Sorry, no more easy ones now unless I missed some 5 years ago. :2fun:

Nelson would be a middle name. NSW reg don't give family names for father or mother except in cases where it's the death of a married female and the father's given names are unknown. I don't know therefore if his name is JOHNSON or AITCHISON.

As gibbo suggested, I'm wondering if Linlithgow is a hint.

I wonder if Ivy was in England in 1911, but using what name?

Both names are mentioned on the marriage record in Raymond's service record. It says "but known as Ivy Aitchison" on the marriage record.

There is a George Nelson JOHNSON in America who married an AITCHISON but I can't see how that is connected.

Regards,

Dave

Just for that I am going to throw a spanner in:2fun:

There is a George Nelson Aitchison born in Bathgate but the only trouble is that the date is 1901. Some connection perhaps?

there is also an Isabella Johnston Aitchison born in 1896 in Bathgate.

Two births that might interest you for one credit, will leave it to you if you want to spend more but she looks promising.

Hello Barbara,

Thank you very much.

I'm still working on my list and I don't know when I'll get the next batch of credits.
