I took our 3 sons on a road trip to the Snowy Mountains in NSW, about 32 years ago, it was a promise for them to see the snow.
The week before we were due to leave, their dad got a new job, and couldn't take the time off, not wanting to dissappoint, we decided, that I would take them.
The boys were 6,10,and 12yrs old at the time.
The 2 week trip was great, but the first day we arrived at the snow,a place called Smiggins Holes, the kids had a huge snowball fight, and the 10 year old got a cut lip, that put a dampener on the day. But the next 3 days we had a ball, going down the slopes on our toboggans.A nice place to holiday, but I'm not fond of cold feet. The boys loved it. Joan:)

Which direction Steve? Snow in Longford? My sister hates the ice on the hill down to the town. She works in a shop on the main street.

Sydney is under the influence of la Nina so it will be a not so hot but wet summer with warmer nights due to the cloud cover.

I get it. :D :2fun:

Just as well I didn't have to apply via Roscommon Office for copies of Birth certificates. I got to know my way around Dublin GRO and Library and Archives for copies of certificates and getting R.I.C. service numbers from the book in the library then getting the service records off film at the Archives. :)
