 80 months. Someone made a boo boo :2fun::2fun: Wonder who transcribed it  Not us

Who ever transcribed it must have had the word "months" on the brain. Ethel was 72 months when she died.

The reg has the year 1911. But the author didn't look any further.

Ivy did move around but I have nothing to say she ended up in Cairns.

Looks as though Leonard took a year off his age when he enlisted. Curious he would change the day by 2 days as well. I think it has to be the one with mother = Annie Burns.

A brother but I don't know where he died:

Birth 1912/C07887 Sailer Edward Wilhelm - Wilhelm Friedrich - Ida Auguste Haack

Death 3 May 1920/C01950 Sailer Edward Wilhelm - Wilhelm Frederick Sailer - Ida Augusta Haack

and the other brother:

Death 21 Aug 1919/C03770 Sailer Henry William Frederick - William Frederick Sailer - Ida Augusta Haack

I can't see a notice in TROVE for either.

Better try Kalbar again. Parents were here:

1919 QLD Electoral Roll - Moreton - Boonah
SAILER William Frederick, Kalbar, farmer
SAILER Ida Augusta, Kalbar, home duties

Not St John's and not St Mark's Kalbar. Not Engelsburg Pioneer. And not St Luke's Boonah. Curious.

A sad story Dave :(

Cairns Post (Qld. : 1909 - 1954)(about)
Wednesday 17 April 1946

WOMAN'S DEATH
AFTER DRINKING POISON.
INQUEST AT CAIRNS.
The post-mortem examination cer- tificate tendered by a detective who gave evidence at the inquest heard before Mr. C. R. Noyes, S .M., in the Coroner's Court yesterday into the circumstances of the death of Ivy Elizabeth Sailer (35), on January ° 6, 1946, at Freshwater, showed the cause of death as lysol poisoning. Previous evidence had been heard at Cairns and Mareeba.
John Henry O'Rourke, Ambulance bearer, stated that at 9.45 ajn. on January 6, he received a .phone call to proceed to Freshwater barracks, where it was alleged a woman had taken lysol. Deceased, he said, was lying on a stretcher, and, he de- duced, apparently dead. Examination revealed slight burns on the inside of the lower lip, and her mouth smelt strongly of lysol. O'Rourke stated that he then telephoned the super- intendent of the Cairns centre of the Q.A-T3. and the police, and waited with the body until they arrived.
Plain Clothes Constable William George Mason stated that when he arrived at the cane barracks, he saw O'Rourke and another Ambulance bearer standing on a side verandah. Kusta. Laaksonen and Vino Laytty were also there. "Ambulance bearer O'Rourke handed me a small bottle containing a small quantity of lysol and told me it was the bottle given him by Laaksonen," he said..; De- ceased's body was on a stretcher on the side verandah. There were, no marks on the body to suggest 'that any violence had been used* "The^post mortem examination certificate, She continued, showed the cause of death as lysol poisoning.
Mason added that his> inquiries showed that Sailer's foll parrie' was: Ivy Elizabeth Anna Sailor. ' She was 35 years old, single, was born at Logan Reserve, via Beenleigh, and was the. mother of two illegitimate children. -,
Concluding his evidence, the de- tective stated that he was satisfied there were no suspicious circum- stances connected with " Sailer's death, and that she drank lysol of her own accord when in à half-drunken condition.
The. witnesses were examined by Sgt. B E. Linde.Fix this

Thanks gibbo.

That solves one puzzle. The second one in my tree who took lysol. I suppose with 5000 in the tree you get the odd hanging and poisoning and drowning and burning.

Curious I never found her death in the BMD though. I wonder if it has always been there. I say that because I have copies I've taken of several people from the BMD a few years ago and the data does not agree with what is currently on-line. So, they do edit it. The missing NIQUET reg and PEARCE missing from Julia's name on the death of son John.

Post #10, two brothers. I guess we are out of luck with them. Was expecting to find burials at one of the 3 Lutheran cemeteries at Kalbar. Expect at least 1919 one in Kalbar. Don't know when they moved away:

1919 QLD Electoral Roll - Moreton - Boonah
SAILER William Frederick, Kalbar, farmer
SAILER Ida Augusta, Kalbar, home duties

1925 QLD Electoral Roll - Moreton - Rosewood
SAILER William Frederick, Rosewood, dealer
SAILER Ida Augusta, Rosewood, home duties

Also, the trees have a death in 1976 at Ipswich for Ivy's mother Ida Augusta. I can't find a burial for her either.

:2fun: Just checked my notes from the library today.

I'm missing a sibling from my tree.

SAILER Alice Ida 8/08/1915/B41290 Wilhelm Friedrich - Ida Auguste Haack

By the time of the next reg their names were William Frederick and Ida Augusta.

I failed to do one thing. The marriages on fiche go to 1939 and I didn't check.
