Jacob Aaron Moore. 1851. Chatham, Kent.

Been here before, but as more Military records become available, I'm asking again.:biggrin:

Jacob Aaron Moore, born in 1851 @ Chatham.

Father - Jacob Aaron Moore. 7 Jul 1818 in Gorleston. (I have his Army records).
Mother - Rebecca Moore(nee.Brown).

He married in 1870 in Salford, Lancs. Occupation, Soldier. aged 19.

In 1871 census, he is in Barracks in Elton, Lancs. Private in 100th (Prince of Wales's Royal Canadian) Regiment of Foot. He is shown as single.

In 1871 census, his wife is living with her parents, and married.

Two children born in 1874 & 1876 in Salford. Baptisms show occupation as Joiner.

By 1895 he is deceased, and a carpenter on his son's marriage cert, and in 1896 on his daughters marriage cert. he's a joiner.

I'm not holding out much hope of his Army records being found, but I have to ask.:biggrin:

P.S. There is a 23 Dec 1874, Canadian Army attestation record for a Charles Moore born, c1851. Chatham. 97th of Foot. Discharged, Feb 1875, fraudulent enlistment. Maybe a coincidence.

GB, has been and gone, so there must be nothing to be found for J.A.Moore.
