I managed to view the shipping reel at the library and it's not the usual one with names of parents, etc... but the 'Disposal Journal' reel, with details of the agreemant the family made for assisted passage, the names of sponsors, details re the baptism of the children, the wages paid in NSW for various trades, the rations provided on arrival ...

All very interesting, so I'll post the images later today.

I didn't look for that variation of the name.

Now I can look that baptism up on film.

Pity this one is so far off my main line. Would be great if other 'Disposal' details were available for others in my tree that listed things such as birth and baptism dates of children and name of sponsor, etc...
