Hello,
James BROWN born abt 1820 Scotland according to 1861 census.
- parents William and Jean KIRK
I can find no such marriage in Scotland or England 1800-1825.
Yeah not much to go on and I don't even know if he was in Scotland or England in 1851 but he married in 1852 in Cornwall.
1852 Marriages solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of St. Austell in the County of Cornwall
No 466 January 15th - James Brown Full Bachelor Merchant St. Austell William Brown Yeoman -
Caroline Marie Cleave Full Spinster - St. Austell Thomas Cleave Gardener
Married in the Parish Church by Licence By me F. Todd Vicar
Both signed
Witnesses: Thomas Cleave, Elizabeth Olva ?
James is a draper so that might help.
I'd like a look up for James in 1851 please.
Regards,
Dave
