Steve, You are a wonderful man:kissu: Thank You.
The James and Esther Burrowes in 1871 fit in perfectly, because as I said William was born in Abram in 1871. And if James's Mother was called Sarah, that would be who my Gran Sarah was named after. It's a bit of a weird situation this is

. I never knew my Gran Sarah, she died long before I was born. But I do remember my Great Grandparents, William who died in 1951 aged80 and Sarah Jane who died in 1953 aged 85. I remember going to their house for tea every Sunday and there was always a jug of Celery on the tablecloth along with a huge homemade Singing Lily

Sarah Jane was a tiny bird like wizened old lady, I can't imagine her having given birth to 9 children

But what about the Workhouse lot Steve, do you think they are mine or what? Actually, the Workhouse connection should be easy to get information on at Leigh Library,so maybe it's a bit of Carwork not Legwork I need now Steve, and Thank You so much for all your help:kissu:
