Hi Ryan:)
thanks for having a go.
James wasn't married in 1861.
In 1871 the eldest kiddie was born in 1864, he's 17 in 1881.
Eliza's age in 1881 is now 38.(born Kimble)
Would seem correct as there is an infant listed, no first name and some other little kiddies.
1891 she's 50.
James may have died in 1894 again Wycombe district.
None of this helps to find the marriage soz....

Hi Steve

You've got me on this one.

Suggestion - Eliza always uses Kimble as her POB. Looking at 51/61 census returns for Kimble, there are only about 5 listed. Of these I favour Pitchford or Ridgley, Lodger or Servant respectively, in Risborough in 61 They would be in the right place for a Mge in 61/62 but I cannot find one.
The only other suggestion for you to work on is Eliza Adams, married 1862 Berkhampstead 3a 434, there is only one male listed to two females, ie George Rance, Mary Edwards and Eliza. There is a George and Mary married in Berkhampstead in 71 so this may mean it is Eliza's husband who is missing off the return. Could this be your James?

I suppose the only answer is a birth cert for one of the kids.

I got Charles Clares 1881 birth reg. so I might order that in the new year. He's the 'infant' Clare in the 1881 census.

Cheers folks.
