Three newspaper notices for 1866 marriage all have the name as FINGE.

It is FUIGE in all subsequent records.

Age at death points to 1830 for James.

There are three trees on A... that I can't access (not free in Australia this weekend) that have his birth as 1841 ??

Searching census and baptism records for FINGE and FUIGE return no hits.

I looked earlier, Dave.. Trees [3] not helpful, they have him b. 1841 Swansea, no obvious birth in FreeBMD or GRO?

If you want something specific checking in them, let me know.

That marriage is probably on film at the Mitchell Library. Don't know the film # yet.

Three possible churches in Sydney.

Market St, corner of York st. - John Dunmore Lang and others

St Stephen's Macquarie st. - Dr James Fullerton

Bathurst st - John McGarvie and others

Would have been of more help if the minister was mentioned.

You search for the Minister's name and the location and the result is the film #.
