Death of Mr. J. H. Simson. — A wire reached Bathurst fast night conveying the intelligence that Mr. J. H. Simson, for some years manager of the gas works erected by Mr. Wark, had met with his death by drowning at Lady Robinson's Beach. No particulars of the sad occur rence were forwarded; Mr. A. Wark, brother-in-law of deceased, left Bathurst last night by train for the scene. Mr. Simson only recently left Bathurst, in tending to visit England, he having come in for some property there.

Edited.. That is the correct name of the ship apparently No passenger list in NSW archives for it. I did find this link tho but they have him as

I didn't find those other bits about him drowning. I was puzzled by the mention of a beach in this notice. So they kept the body at the nearest hotel.

Mrs. P. KIRBY, undertaker, 88 Hunter-street; 351 Oxford-street; and William-street, Darlinghurst. Telephone 875.
