Hi Dave,
Off Aust Death Index Isabella Davidson nee Spalding died aged 90/91 Warrnambool Vic Reg No: 3152, parents John Spalding & Marg Nicol - buried Warrnambool Cemetery 6 March 1907.

The Argus Wed 6 March 1907
DAVIDSON - on the 5th March at Woodend Warrnambool, Isabella Widow of the late James Davidson aged 91. A Colonist for 60 years.

The Argus Wed 12 Dec 1934
DAVIDSON - On the 10th December at his residence Spring Gardens, Warrnambool, John, fourth son of the late James and Isabella Davidson, late of Woodend aged 83 years.

Ancestry Trees seems to say James died around 5 Jan 1862 at sea - in the Argus Friday 17 April 1863 on Marriages
McKellar - DAVIDSON - on the 11th instant at Woodend near Warrnambool by the Rev John Anderson, Neil McKellar Esq, Ardachy to Elizabeth McNicoll second daughter of the Late James Davidson of Woodend and formerly of Forfarshire Scotland.

regards
Val

I've not looked at the two attached files yet:

Will - James Davidson Clerk Warrnambool 16 Feb 1937 286/026 -

Not that one - would be too old.

Thanks Val.

I add to mine too. :)

If that is correct then he returned to Scotland between 1847 and 1862. No family with him in 1862. Age 20 in 1841 census is not much of a guide.
