Thursday.
Early last Friday morning, the wife of Mr. James Kelly, of Redhill Farm, passed away, having been ill only a few days. She was brought into town and laid up at Mrs. Nest's, but the case was a hopeless one of rheumatic fever. A large number of friends attended the funeral on Saturday. Rev. Father Buckley administered the last rites of the church to the deceased. There were no children to mourn the loss.
James remarried.
Death 15090/1927 KELLY JAMES - JOHN - BRIDGET - COOLAMON * 11 Sep 1927
Albury Banner and Wodonga Express (NSW) - Fri 16 Sep 1927 p.32
COOLAMON
The death occurred suddenly about half-past ten on Saturday night last of Mr. James Kelly, who until a couple of years ago followed farming pursuits near Coolamon. Although he had not felt well for a few days he was about town on Saturday afternoon, and his demise came as a great shock to his relatives and friends. Mr. John Kelly, of Coolamon, is a brother of deceased, who besides his widow leaves one daughter, Miss M. Kelly, who is in the Education Department, being a school teacher near Tenterfield, and will unfortunately be unable to reach home in time for the funeral.
Not in Coolamon Cemetery database.
Can John be found? He might give us a clue re date and place of birth.
Although Matilda would have been CofE it looks as though marriage and burial were RC.
Thanks,
Dave
