NSW Marriage 1412/1900 KELLY JAMES - BARNES MATILDA M - JUNEE ** 14 Feb

1903 NSW Electoral Roll - BLAND - COOLAMON POLLING-PLACE
204 KELLY Bridget, Kindra, domestic duties
205 KELLY James, Kindra, farmer
206 KELLY John, Kindra, labourer
207 KELLY Matilda Margaret, Kindra, domestic duties
208 KELLY William, Kindra, farmer

You can't tell they are all living together because that's just a small town. Don't know if Bridget is a sister or mother. Same with John - don't know if he is a brother or father.

Death 15090/1927 KELLY JAMES - JOHN - BRIDGET - COOLAMON ** 11 Sep

Not in Coolamon Cemetery database.

Looking for anything more on James, birth, parents, arrival ...

Thanks,

Dave

A little to add to the 1901 census..

James Kelly
Locality: Coolaman Road
Sub-District: O Coolamon
County: Bourke
District: Wagga Wagga
[House schedule no. 156. One male and one female]

That would fit as I can't see any offspring to 1910, however, there is this:

Matilda M Kelly
Death Date: 1903
Death Place: New South Wales
Father: Joseph
Mother: Elizabeth
Registration Year: 1903
Registration Place: Narrandera, New South Wales
Registration Number: 2726

Geoff

Edit: Ooops! Just noticed you have the death :)

Thanks Geoff.

So we don't know who the female is or if W. Kelly is the William in 1903 roll.

I'll start looking for a death for John. About 200 up to 1930.

Albury Banner and Wodonga Express (NSW : 1896 - 1938 ) - Friday 16 September 1927 p.32
COOLAMON
Tho death occurred suddenly about
half-past ten on Saturday night last
of Mr. James Kelly, who until a couple
of years ago followed farming pursuits
near Coolamon. Although he had not
felt well for a few days he was about
town on Saturday afternoon, and his
demise came as a great shock to his
relatives and friends. Mr. John Kelly,
of Coolamon, is a brother of deceased,
who besides his widow leaves one
daughter, Miss M. Kelly, who is in
the Education Department, being a
school; teachor near Tenterfield, and
will unfortunately be unable to reach
home in time for the funeral.
