I don't have 1891 as I didn't know if death was before or after census.

I also don't know yet if this is the one in my tree as there were two possible deaths using birth 1840 +/- 3.

James died after 1869 and no death in Lanark to 1871 that fits so he should be in 1871 census.

Marriages 1861 - 1871 in Lanark for a James 9x. Now 8x with Marion ruled out.

Born 1840 Gorbals and alive on 4 Feb 1869 in Lanark. Mother is Agnes.

Father is Porterfield but I can't find any births after 1861 with that name.
