Maria b. 1861 is Barbara's niece. Or else it is a totally different James.

The trees have no marriage and no death for Barbara. The authors don't even know she ended up in Australia.

This may be his death Dave. Robinson spelt with a T in it. Father's name has no T.

Proof it's the same James who married Maria. ** Can find nothing in TROVE for 1888 marriage.

Birth. ** Don't even know age at death. Born before 1844. Barbara was born in 1827.

Parents marriage. ** Can't find it. Can't find a death for Sophia.

Arrival in Australia. ** Probably born in Ireland. Possibly arrived in Victoria before 1861.

Went to VIC and i ended up in Tassie

There doesnt seem to be many Sophia Robinson's but i cant confirm this Sopia is Jame's mother.

Interesting possibility. Would help if we knew when James was born.

No birth in Vic. 1825-1845 for James with father = James & mother = Sophia

All the James born Tas. seem to be accounted for.

Can't see a baptism in England for Sophia FONTAINE/FOUNTAIN. Be better tracing her than father James.

Can we find any siblings?

No ROBINSON deaths in Qld. or Vic. after 1850 with father = James & mother = Sophia
