Yep, there is a tree with parents = Benjamin Matthews and Mary Williams.. It has
Benjamin Matthews 1794-1872
Joseph James Matthews 1812-

Interestingly if this is correct their mother, Mary b. 1776 and possibly d. 1845 should be around in 1841

Joseph's probate gives nothing away, son, John looks to be the executor.

It does look like it, the tree has similar info. Sophie [1813] looks to be the last born, Breage.. Father Benjamin possibly d. 1814.

I've searched for females so I get Elizth Eliz. etc... and can't find on who looks out of place with the other children.

Just realised, the 1841 that Em found has a Jane b. c1828 we are looking for an Elizabeth Jane b. c1839, I may be confused

No, that theory has proved to be right for Jane born 1828 but it's Joseph's daughter born 1838 not with family in 1841.
