Hello,

1871
Civil Parish: Dunfermline Landward
County: Fife
Address: 3 Blackburn
MOODIE James head 1791 age 80 Retired Labourer Carnock, Fifeshire
MOODIE Jane wife 1810 age 61 Wife of Labourer Carnock, Fifeshire
I'd like a look up for Jane in 1881 please. Jane died on 12 Dec 1886 in Carnock. James died in 1874.

A variation of the name is MUDIE.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Thanks for looking.

Jane HUTTON b. 6 May 1811 Carnock

I'm not sure for two reasons. The place and the age:

1886 MOODIE JANE HUTTON F 76 CARNOCK /FIFE 414/00 0013

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Anyone else at that address in Dunfermline? Spouse James died in Dunfermline. So it's possible Jane moved back to Carnock after 1881 not after James died in 1874.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Thanks.

It's the same street. They were at 3 Blackburn in 1871.

Even if I don't consider the age in the census why would she be an 'annuitant' when her spouse was in early years a colliery engine driver and in later years a blacksmith's labourer?

Hmmm....

Regards,

Dave
