Birth 1891/C5809 Janet Friedaricka - Blackley Thomas - Emma Friedaricka Wriede

I've found a handwritten certificate that must be very unusual.

Montalbion
Oct 4th 1891
This is to certify that I have this
day baptised by the name of
" Janet Friedricka" a female child
presented to me by Thomas
Blackley as his daughter

George Ewan
Presbyterian Minister
Herberton

The said child was declared to
have been born on the twenty second
day of August 1891.
Geo Ewan

The family lived at Mont Albion and were Lutheran.

There must have been no Lutheran minister around at the time and the family used a visiting Presbyterian minister for the private baptism.

The other odd thing is the spelling in the on-line Qld BDM index.

Different again on the marriage index entry.

Marriage 5 Oct 1918/C02870 Hamilton William - Blackley Janet Freidricka

So far I can't confirm the spelling of "Cecil Geoffrey Borleau Taviner"

No hits in Trove for 'cecil geoffrey B taviner' or 'cecil G B taviner' or 'cecil taviner' ??

Signature looks to be "Cecil G B Taviner"

May be worth contacting the church to see if they can help, Dave.. They have an email.

HERE

Geoff

EDIT: The concern is that he may be a locum and be from anywhere in Australia.
