It may be a coinincidence. A Ann Searby with William and Sarah in 1841 married a George Potts 1857 Ashton Under Lyne. In 1861 her place of birth is Grimsby and she is living in the civil parish of Glossop registration district Hayfield.

So far I can't see a marriage for Benjamin senior to a Mary Jane.

Unable to find William and Sarah in 1851.

The 1861 Scottish census has a William Searby born abt 1804 England though his occupation is railway labourer, wife Ann which may be a 2nd marriage she is born abt 1820 England and a Samuel Searby born abt 1833 Lincoln.

Seeing that Janetta cant be found in 1851, neither William and Sarah I wonder if she was with them?

No relationship shown on 1st reel. Just says 'In charge of Ibbotson' in one column.

No deaths in NSW or Qld. index for William or Sarah Searby. Ditto Thomas.
