Hi,

I am looking for further information about Janusz Mazurek, born 17 May 1913 in Poland, who was a Polish Army officer arrested in German POW camp Oflag Murnau during World War II. It seems that he emigrated to the UK after the end of the war as I can find a death record from 1971 (Manchester Lancashire England) for a person with same name and same birth date. I also have two marriage records (1948, Beryl G. Haywood; 1959 Janina Waniek) that might fit. I would like to learn whether he had children or whether there is more information about the place of residence in the UK.

I thank you for your help.

Regards,
Martha

I know this is an old post. However, there is an inaccuracy. Janusz Mazurek, a prisoner in Murnau, died on April 29, 1945, by a shot to the head. In other words - it doesn't fit in with the rest.
