Common in Scotland, Steve. I've seen it lots of times.

Now to try and sort out the ages.

Without seeing the original 1851 census, is hard to gauge their ages. 65 & 69, could be 55 & 59. Transcription error, who knows. Need a death/cert I suppose for each of the parents, and Jean.
