Hello Julie,

Thank you very much.

Looks as though I have the wrong marriage given this:

Births Sep 1839
Risson Jane Kensington 3 241

I did say 'probable' :D

The name has the variation JEFFERIES in Australia in some records.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

On the London marriages a Jane Humphreys marries Thomas Eardley 29 Oct 1859 district Marylebone.
(Edited. So it looks like that George married Elizabeth Akers.)

Hello Julie,

Thank you for matching the couples.

Ok, I'm wrong for the second time. ;)

Although there are several Jane HUMPHREYS born in Northamptonshire.

Now I'm not going to try for a third. :2fun:

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

I just entered Jane and 1829-1832 and Spratton and this popped out:

name: Jane Wykes
gender: Female
baptism/christening date: 04 Sep 1831
baptism/christening place: Spratton, Northampton, England
birth date:
birthplace:
death date:
name note:
race:
father's name:
father's birthplace:
father's age:
mother's name: Elizabeth Wykes
mother's birthplace:
mother's age:
indexing project (batch) number: I04341-9
system origin: England-EASy
source film number: 1999976
reference number: 55

Coincidence probably.

EDIT: I just realised there is no father's name.

I can confirm that the mother listed on Robert's death reg is Jane:

Death #24643/1937 JEFFREYS ROBERT - GEORGE - JANE - RYDE

Dave

Hello Julie,

If Spratton is correct then I'm stuck.

Hope I don't dream about Kettering or Woodford or Morton-Pinkney. ;)

Dave

Hi Dave,

A Jane Elizabeth Wykes married in Brixworth (registration district for Spratton) the only groom listed is a William Brown.

What does the Ryde stand for on Roberts death reg?

Hello Julie,

Thanks for that. So I can't see a marriage that fits.

That is a NSW death registration from the on-line index. The BMD server now is in need of an upgrade as response times are slow. Ryde is a suburb of Sydney but in that case it is a registration district that covers several suburbs including Ryde.

Regards,

Dave
