Looking for the birthdate of my grandmother Margaret Jelly (nee Evans), wife of William Jelly of Blaina, Monmouthshire and mother of William, Reginald, Graham and Norman. She would have been born around 1872-4, census says London, may have been born in Blaina.
Thanks
Ann

given that Margaret is consistent with a birth year of 1874 in the 1901 and 1911 census,,,and you say in your other post she has a brother John b 1871,,,then this COULD be her in 1891

1891 census 27, Cwmcelyn Road, Aberystruth, Blaina

EVANS, Dinah Head Widow F 43 1848 Rhymney, Glamorganshire

EVANS, John Son Single M 20 1871 Coal Miner Blaina, Monmouthshire

EVANS, Margaret Daughter F 17 1874 Blaina, Monmouthshire

EVANS, Martha Daughter F 15 1876 Blaina, Monmouthshire

EVANS, Rachel Daughter F 12 1879 Blaina, Monmouthshire

EVANS, Elizabeth Daughter F 8 1883 Blaina, Monmouthshire

PEMBER, Henry Lodger Single M 21 1870 Coal Miner Leominster, Herefordshire

noticed you have replied to your other thread,,but not this one,,,has it slipped your notice? :)

the best way forward, would be to get William Jellys marriage cert to Margaret,,,if the family in the 1901 census is correct,,,then the marriage would be the 1 in 1898 in momnmouthshire William Jelly,,but no other names on the page,,,,just quote the reference for him if you are sure it is the correct marriage.:)

Thanks, even though this is three years later. Yes, that is the family and it is all sorted out now.
Hang my head in shame and can feel my wrist being slapped for not checking on the messages I post.
