This is all i can find him.

http://www.twgpp.org/information.php?id=1741112

I only come across this fella when i wrote to the cemetery looking for the burial of Emilia Helene Trollope and i got the below response from them
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Emilia Helene Trollope is buried in Fulford Cemetery on the outskirts of York, about a mile from our cemetery. She died on 26.11.1943 aged 52. ALSO in the same grave is Royal Air Force (Poland) Pilot Sergeant Jerzy E. Chodzicki who was killed 2.1.1942 aged 21. The grave number is 41/P/12, on which is a grey granite cross with both names on the plinth, plus a Polish Forces war headstone with his name on.
It is interesting to note that his death was registered in Devizes, Wiltshire, which is about 220 miles from York.
Does the fact that Emilia is buried with a Polish airman make sense to you ? Was she his mother ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to know if Emilia was infact his mother or maybe his sister. She was married to Reginald Trollope and her maiden name is unknown. Have been told she come from around France area.
Im open to any suggestions or ideas anyone might have on how i can find this out. thank you

Will see if there is any info in the local paper this week Gibbo...havnt forgot.
Hi Lee,
I dont think it would be worth it Lee as i got some replies back and no one can find it in the newspapers.
The Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre got back to me and they couldnt find anything in the newspapers about him. They checked the Wiltshire Times & the Devizes Gazette and found nothing. We have ordered his death cert. as that will have his mothers name on it and see if Emilia's name is there. I will post any updates here for anyone who is interested. Thank you for been willing to check it out tho but i dont want you wasting your time and it appears at this stage that it wasnt in the papers.
thanks

Will look anyway...its fun!!....would there be anything in the Yorkshire papers....i saw the gravestone pic on war graves......regards Lee.
Thats a thought! as he was buried in York there maybe a funeral notice or something in one of their papers. I will email them and see if they can find anything. I found the picture of his gravestone as well and enlarged it to see if it had any other info on it but it didnt seem to have. Only check the papers if you have time and want to. thank you.

Still a mystery though Gibbo....the double burial?......any leads.
The double burial thing has me baffled. 2 reasons..... who was Emilia to him and also i have never come across someone else been buried in a war grave with the serviceman who died. It probably happened i just havent come across it before.
No leads as yet but it will be solved. I will email York today and see if they have a obituary or funeral notice on him.

Do you know how Emilia died Gibbo?
From what i have been told she had been ill for many years and had a operation in 1943 and died. I dont know what illness she had and i cant get her medical records as the 100 year rule applies and i havent been able to find any obituary for her as yet.

Hi Julie
I have seen it and down the forum a bit there is a email address so i have written to them to see if they managed to find anything out but as yet havent heard back. The forum is a couple of years old so maybe the email address is a old one.
thanks

Finally after months and months of waiting the Polish institute replied to my query on Jerzy. They sent me what info they had but it was no more than i already knew:( They also enclosed 2 further addresses for me to contact so hopefully they might have more info on him. I also got his death cert. but that gave nothing up besides saying that he died from multipy injuries in the crash and there was a inquest held. BUT the cert. did give his last residental address and that was also the same address as Emilia Trollope's:confused: So still none the wiser of what the connection is between Jerzy and Emilia.

Perhaps he was lodging there Gibbo.:)
I had thought of that but if he was a lodger why would he and Emilia have been buried together:confused: Might be one to leave until i get over there and then check it out more. I emailed the other 2 places i was told to contact so they might come up with something yet.
This might be a good time for me to say "i want the 1941 census" :2fun: :2fun:

I just got a email back and i have tracked down Jerzy's service record. Its drove me mad long enough so thinking seriously of paying the £30.

Dear Sir or Madam

Re: Jerzy Chodzicki

Thank you for your enquiry about the above-named. I confirm we hold the service record of Jerzy Chodzicki and we will be prepared to disclose information from the service record to you.

However, information is issued free of charge to the widows of ex-servicemen. All other interested parties are charged £30 for the service.

Yours sincerely
