JG Kirkwood - Burial - Kenya

I'm looking for a burial for a Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) James George Kirkwood who died on 20th March 1955 at the Mt Kenya Hospital, Nyeri, (near Nairobi) Kenya. James was born in New Zealand in 1872 and was in South Africa when the Boer War was on. He served not only in the Boer War but also in the 1906 Natal Rebellion and WW1 with the 10th Gloucestershire Regiment, gaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in that regiment. He lived the rest of his life in Kenya, some of it as a Kenyan Legislative Council Member (13 years) and was killed in a car crash in 1955, during the time of the Mau Mau Revolt. While there is a newspaper Death Notice and Obituary in The Times Newspaper dated 23rd March 1955 it doesn't give a full description of either what actually happened to him or where he is buried. There are several Kenyan Newspapers (on microfilm) which cover this period of time in the British Library and I was wondering if anyone out there either visits the library or is a registered reader. Hopefully someone can help.
