No Geoff.

Born Lanark but not Maryhill should be one of mine but died young.

Yes, I found the death afterwards.

Marriage 18/01/1785 CLEARK DANIEL - SARAH NIKOL/FR1582 (FR1582) 559/ 40 341 Abbey

First three children as Cleark then others as Clark.

Archibald
John
Mary
Sarah
Janet
Elizabeth
Margaret
Daniel

Naming pattern might suggest parents for Daniel as Archibald & Sarah or Janet and for Sarah - John & Mary

Point of interest, only 3 hits for a marriage of Angel 1880-1887, spouse = Pettigrew, Nicholls or McPherson - 2xare females.

Geoff

Thanks Geoff.

Interesting. None of those in my tree. There must be one more source for the name Angel in Scotland other than Thomas the soldier born Devon.

Name in records also Angell and Angle.
