Hi everyone. I've been researching my tree for about seven years and have never managed to get to the bottom of this puzzle so I'm hoping someone who has more knowledge about WW1 can help me, as I have very little! I have a photo of my Grandfaher John Bell in a WW1 uniform. I think he might have been a Northumberland Fusilier. On the back of the photograph are some numbers, they are F107 BELL 288198. I can't seem to find any reference to these numbers and don't even know if they are anything to do with his time in the army in WW1. I thought they might be a regiment number. If anyone could shed any light on this I would be hugely grateful.
Thanks in advance
