Please see if John can be found in Scotland or England in 1871.

I believe John was born in Paisley although I've not yet found a birth/baptism record. I believe Thomas and William were born in Liverpool although I can't find a reg on FreeBMD or a baptism on Lancs OPC site for either. Seems the family moved from Paisley to Liverpool around 1854.

Also, I'd like a check of the two census references please.

EDIT: I can confirm this is the death of Isabella at 57 Broomlands Paisley Burgh.

I suspected one of those references was wrong. The 1871 it turned out.

Well, that seems to fit with born Paisley and children named Sarah, John and Isabella. An Isabella in five generations of the family including several cousins in same generation.

Now to find the marriage. I wonder:

I've not proved that is the right marriage but in searching I came across this one:
