Hello:
John CLARK(E) and Eliza(beth)HANCOCK were married in St Mary's, Whitechapel, in 1814 (according to Pallot's Index).
I'm wondering could they be the parents of my GGF, Richard CLARK(E), born c1831-1833, who migrated to Australia 1856.
((Richard's ship documents and immigration arrival record Feb 1857 says 'mother dead father location unknown'.))
Does anyone have any information on this John Clarke/Eliza Hancock MARRIAGE, CHILDREN, baptisms, etc especially about RICHARD - if there is one. I cannot see where he was baptised etc. Please note that because Richard in later life wrote that he was 'raised Cambridge' it is possible Whitechapel records do not show him if his family moved away.
Just a "possibilty" ...
Maybe someone else is tracking the same couple?
Cheers,
Colin
