Possible for John..
Name: John Jago Nancarrow
Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 28 Oct 1821
Baptism Place: St Just IN Roseland,Cornwall,England
Father: William Nancarrow
Mother: Ann
FHL Film Number: 246801

dont think is John's wife...she came out before him and = marriage was earlier than 1847..
NANCARROW Jane, Elizabeth, Caroline arrived in SA 1846-11-11 aboard Lady Bruce from London via Southampton, Plymouth 1846-08-02

NANCARROW John arrived in SA 1847-09-24 aboard Rajah from London via Plymouth 47-05-28.

there's this one which would make marriage over here..

MATTHEWS Jane arrived in SA 1847-09-04 aboard Aboukir from London 47-05-20 via Plymouth - no marriage in SA.

Did Jane Nancarrow marry a John Penhall in 1855 after John Nancarrow's death ?

Thanks Geoff.

I've travelled through that area and walked around Redruth.

Yes I think so. The other one is listed as 61 in 1859 at Gunnislake, which is were his widow is in 1861.

Edward's 2nd wife's first marriage - don't know if there is a connection to Stephens in Victoria.

Joseph Stephens & Elizabeth ****
6 Jun 1835 St. Agnes (Near Truro), Cornwall

It looks as though we are correct with Edward and Ann MORE/MOORE.

Also this appears to be the right Edward ...

Edward c. 21 Apr 1799 Redruth, Cornwall
NANCARROW & Elizth
Batch: C053411

... but can't be sure his parents are John & Elizabeth WEBBER

Thanks Val.

All very strange. Married David but buried with John.

As given to me.

They (Tait) married on the 15th February 1878. Three days later she died from cancer of the liver. Obviously the marriage was rushed through just before she died aged 46. The funeral took place the following day and she was buried with John Penhall in the Old Cemetery WN sect 1 row 2 grave 15.

Death Reg# 3173
NANCARROW John
Age: 31
Father: Edward
Mother:
Birth Place: CORN
Death Place:
Year: 1855
Reg Place: Victoria

On John Nancarrows death certificate, it lists the one surviving child, Mary Jane aged 6, so I think this would make her their first born. ... 7 years in Victoria. Married in Redruth Cornwall at age 22 to Jane Matthews.
7 years in Victoria can't be correct unless he moved well before Jane.

Births in SA (Book, page & date)
NANCARROW
Sophy 3 74 6.6.50
Mary 4 138 12.12.52
John Henry 4 227 12.10.53
Elizabeth 5 28 23.8.54

Have not found Mary Jane's birth in SA yet.
