Something to ponder...

Find a Grave:

Death Date: 10 Sep 1906
Cemetery: Rookwood Catholic Cemeteries and Crematoria
Burial or Cremation Place: Rookwood, Cumberland Council, NSW

Rookwood back online, but can't see it..

Thanks Ellie.

Something is not right. Only one death in index for 1906 but month and address don't fit. No John Flemming. So I can't explain the one who died in April.

1913 NSW Electoral Roll - ALEXANDRIA - ALEXANDRIA POLLING-PLACE
FLEMING Mary Ann, 108 Garden-street, domestic duties
GEORGE Jane Beatrice, 108 Garden-street, domestic duties
GEORGE John Joseph, 108 Garden-street, bootmaker

Thanks Geoff.

NSW index has 9 Sep.

Necropolis = Rookwood. It never means any other much smaller cemetery in Sydney suburbs.

There are 915,000 people that have been buried and cremated at Rookwood, which covers an area of 314 hectares. As the largest Victorian era cemetery still in operation in the world, Rookwood is of significant national and historical importance.
The Sydney Morning Herald - Wed 2 May 1923 p.12
DEATHS
FLEMING.-April 30, 1923, at her residence, ... Mary Ann, relict of the late John Fleming, aged 80 years.

RC Rookwood
Fleming Mary A 80 02/05/1923 SEC*M2*E**2366 Burial

No John in index for 1906.
