I expected a notice. There are for his brother:

I dunno. Curiously that tree omits 2 siblings. He had 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

The HAMILTONS are 100% Presbyterian. Why would my John, who as far as I know spent his life in Victoria, be in Marrickville, NSW to get married?

Is he the only one who married a Catholic? Is there more than one John HAMILTON who died in Victoria in 1937 aged 71 or 72?

One thing you may not realise. A sister of Mary McCARTHY married at the same time - consecutive reg #.

It would be very interesting to find the church in Marrickville.
