Seems to fit the 1937 and 1941 deaths and burials.

But is it the right marriage? Do we have anything to connect to Marrickville besides a probable RC name McCARTHY?

Yeah, whilst the marriage is a bit of a 'fly in the ointment' some of Margaret's family ended up in Victoria, there must be a link somewhere for John to go NSW for the marriage

No sign yet of a notice in paper in 1900. Was hoping it would name son-in-laws.

No, nothing definite... There's a an Elizabeth living with a Margaret McCroubrie in the Fawkner area 1903 or 9. There's a lot of tantalising material in Geelong...

I suppose you need to understand that section of your tree to get more into it.

Margaret nee HAMILTON died 1886. I'm 100% sure that's my Margaret from parents and place of marriage in Ballynahinch, Co Down.
